Hi, I'm Chanel!
I am a passionate photographer originally from Kincardine, Ontario. As a nature lover, and tree-hugger at heart, I studied Biology and Environmental Science at the University of Guelph. I then moved to stunning Banff, Alberta where I adored exploring and capturing the beauty of the mountains. After meeting so many Australian friends in Banff, my husband and I moved to Australia for a year. This is when I bought my first DSLR camera, and was hooked! I justified it in that there was so much insane beauty there, it required a good camera to capture it all! We travelled the entire East Coast of the continent, exploring as many amazing beaches and rainforests as possible. When we came back to Canada we decided we weren't big winter fans after all, and thought we should try out Victoria, BC. The mountains, ocean and wildlife there are truly magical! It was a hard decision, but after having our daughter, we decided we should move back to Ontario to be closer to friends and family. We now live on a lovely dead-end country road, off the shore of Lake Erie in the Niagara Region, with our two awesome kids.
I have always loved taking photos, and always had a passion for capturing authentic moments and keeping those memories forever. I hope that I can help you to capture yours! :)
I never imagined I could be a photographer, I thought it would just be a hobby...
That is, until I met my friend Helen! Who is an amazing photographer and has taken me under her wing. She is my mentor and I have learned so much from her, and by tagging along with her to shoots :)
I'm so grateful to have such an inspirational friend to encourage me to follow this path.
